Celebrity Big Brother star Sir Michael Fabricant was left in tears after drag star Danny Beard confessed he ‘respected him’ following his exit on Friday.
The former Tory MP, 74, had been forced to face the public vote alongside Mickey Rourke, 72, and Jack P. Shepherd, 37, after receiving the most nominations from fellow housemates – but did not get a vote from Danny.
After the result was announced the politician said his farewells, before exiting along with his beloved teddy bear to a mix of boos and cheers and was met by hosts AJ Odudu, 37, and Will Best, 40.
The former politician then joined the hosts, Fleur East and David Potts on their spin-off show, Late and Live, to discuss his time in the iconic house.
During the segment, the AJ and Will then revealed to Michael that his former house mate had some kind words to say about him after his departure and showed a clip of Danny chatting to Big Brother in the diary room.
The entertainer confessed: ‘He’s not from this world and he came in as Tory politician – ex Tory politician – and I think that not going to fly with a lot of people, if I’m honest.

‘But I also think he was himself in here. I enjoyed getting to know him. I think I respect him as an older man from my community that went through a lot and fought for rights for me and all my generation and the generation to come and the generation after that.
‘For those things, I respect him. Other things I don’t respect him for. Living with him, I found him endearing.’
The show then panned back to the studio were the audience were captivated and let out a loud ‘aw’ by his comments.
To much of the viewers surprise, Michael was seen crying after hearing the comments as he was appreciative of the drag star’s comments.
He told AJ and Will that he ‘found that quite emotional’ as he wiped tears from his eyes.
The hosts flocked to his side to give him a hug before making sure the star was feeling ok.
And it wasn’t just Michael who felt emotional about his departure as those watching slammed the result, branding the controversial Mickey a ‘homophobe’ after he left lesbian dancer JoJo, 21, in tears.
Mickey insinuated he would be able to ‘make her straight’ during their time in the house and branded her a ‘f*g’.

They also concluded Corrie actor Jack was ‘boring’ and said Michael had been evicted way too soon from the house.
Taking to X fans fumed: ‘So they kept a homophone… nice great’: ‘NOOO NOT MICHAEL’: ‘I have never sided with a tory in my life but… if we’re talking purely about providing entertainment – it should have been Jack that was evicted’: ‘Would rather a Tory than a homophobic in the house’.
‘Aww poor Michael sad to see him go actually’: ‘I guess being a Tory is worse than being homophobic’
‘Michael was hilarious, now Jack will continue to never speak and Mickey will continue to insult everyone’.
