Fox News’s Kennedy reveals how ‘awful’ The View’s Joy Behar was during a show audition

Fox News personality Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, known mononymously as Kennedy, recalled her experience auditioning for the ABC show The View and took aim at co-host Joy Behar, calling her a “talking hemorrhoid in an auburn wig” while blasting the show as an “unwatchable abortion.”
On Monday night’s episode of Gutfeld!, Kennedy told host Greg Gutfeld that she tried out for The View show when co-host Lisa Ling departed. She revealed that her first audition had advanced far in the process.
“I actually auditioned for The View in 2003 and got pretty far. I got along great because Star [Jones] was there. Barbara Walters was still alive — God rest her soul — she was lovely. Meredith Vieira was still there. We talked about conservative politics,” Kennedy began, speaking fondly of the show and the audition process.
However, Kennedy’s tone shifted when discussing Behar.
“Joy was a talking hemorrhoid in an auburn wig,” she said bluntly, repeating, “She was.”
Kennedy went on to describe Behar as “so ungracious and awful,” adding that it was surprising for someone considered a comedian to rely on a writer for her lines.
“And she had a comedy writer writing her little lines during the breaks. And I was like, she’s not even funny. Like she’s not reacting to anything. She’s not thinking in the moment,” Kennedy said.
The former MTV personality then suggested Behar had become competitive with her because Kennedy was naturally funny with quickly coming up with quips without needing a comedy writer.
“And then I made some jokes because it’s a conversational show before it became an unwatchable abortion, because usually they’re so much fun to watch. And she said to me during the break, ‘I’ll handle the comedy here.’ And I said, ‘Great. Whenever you start, I’ll ease up on the jokes,’” Kennedy recalled.

Elizabeth Hasselbeck eventually filled the slot on The View.
Behar, a longtime Democratic supporter, has been known for her outspoken political views. In November, she had a meltdown over President Donald Trump’s 2016 victory, calling it “profoundly disturbing.” Recently, she remarked that while she could be friends with a Trump supporter, she wouldn’t “give them a kidney.” Behar has also called House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”

The funeral home reeked of lilies and overworked air-conditioning. At the front of the small American chapel, two tiny white coffins rested side by side — one for Oliver, one for Lucas. My daughter-in-law cut off my lifelong braid while I slept, then smirked and said, “Now you know your place.” My son backed her up, insisting I “needed the lesson.” I stayed silent—but three days later, standing in my own New York living room, I looked her in the eye and said, “You have thirty days to move out.”

I never told my fiancé that I make ninety thousand dollars a month. He always assumed I lived modestly and saved every penny. When he invited me to dinner with his parents, I decided to test something: pretend to be a sweet, broke girl and see how they’d treat me. But the moment I stepped inside, his mother scanned me from head to toe and whispered, “Honey… girls like her only want your money.” I just smiled. They had no idea… that in a few minutes, they’d be choking on every word they just said.

My family hosted a backyard baby shower, and everything seemed normal until my mother grabbed my newborn and hissed, “You dared give birth before your sister—you’ve disgraced us.” Then she hurled my baby toward the fire.
