Trump has also previously directed his ire at Taylor Swift, having once tweeted, “Since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT.’”

In reaction, the American Federation of Musicians provided a robust defense. President Tino Gagliardi remarked, “We will not remain silent while two of our members are targeted by the President. Springsteen and Swift are not just talented artists but also global icons.” He emphasized the union’s backing for their freedom of expression.

In spite of the backlash, Swift and Springsteen continue to be among the top-selling artists of all time, having sold more than 400 million albums collectively.
